Our art gallery expresses our passion.
Shashin’s small in-store art gallery is an expression of our passion for photography and art.
It features the work of three artists whose work has inspired us:
Junko Azukawa and Lianne Lewis.
Calligrapher Junko Azukawa grew up in Japan and became a resident of Melbourne in 2005, bringing her unique artistic talents and outlook to the local art scene.
Junko has created contemporary works that still respect traditional art forms. Her highly individual work oscillates dynamically between striking and subtle through unique combinations of ink and watercolours.
The original free-form works of prose and poetry contained in her pieces add a dimension of warmth that expresses ideas and feelings both practical and philosophical.
A selection of Junko’s art can be viewed in the Shashin gallery and at: http://www.junkoazukawa.com
Lianne Lewis is a versatile painter with great scope over myriad subjects.
Her work is rich in colour and layered in images. Her inspiration comes from the beautiful colours of the Australian landscape. Liannne has exhibited extensively in Australia and internationally and completed many commissioned works.
